my sciatica symptoms are starting to fade away. Although i do have flair ups throughout the day, for the most part, its not so bad. It is time to move on and start thinking about where i am headed next.
Where am I going?

Another night pacing the floors like a swollen and sore grampa. I am finally getting control over my sciatica symptoms( i think) but i do not have them beat yet. I’m stretching many times a day and icing my lower back 3 or 4 times a day. I take 2 or 3 walks and work out lightly everyday. Despite what my mind and body tells me. Trust me. It is harder than it sounds.
Anyway,I think it helps. I received my usual 3 hours of sleep before the pain woke me up. But unlike recent nights, the pain is not the dominant symptom. I’m swollen and sore and that is a whole lot nicer than shooting pains.
I have to thank Youtube doctors and therapist for post excellent videos on stretching htechniques. I hope that there will be lesser and lesser of these middle of the night adventures in the future.

One of the biggest problem for us older, seasoned, students is remembering all of those little math rules that we have not used in such a log time. We tend to be better at liberal arts, writing, expressing our thoughts and speaking. But when it comes to remembering how to work a quadratic equation, our grades take a turn for the worst. Did we even learn that? lol.
Well, I am going to have to drop college algebra. I don’t have much of a choice. Why ruin a 3.9 Gpa and have to retake the class anyway. I feel like a complete failure but things are looking up. The school i want to transfer to has a math for liberal arts class . YEs!! The class sounds more like theory than number crunching. I can do that.

I have so many friends that are absolutely in love with Senator Obama. They talk about his charismaticness and his great speaking abilities. Some like the fact that he is a black man and a younger politician. Others only want to see change.
My argument is this.
Obama has risen to rock-star level among some voters. They choose to put blinders on and see him how he wants to be seen. I would like to remind them that we, the U.S., elected President Bush because we could relate to him. Bush was a “good ole boy”. Why are we doing the same thing to Obama?
Rock-stars loose fame quickly in this country. The issues on the war is becoming more irrelevant everyday as a result of the Iraq withdrawal time table. The president has little influence over abortion and other civil rights. Those issues will have to be addressed and will probably come to a stand off in the senate.
So why should we vote? This is the main question for college voters in Southwest Texas.
The issue of most importance is the judges seat. 3 maybe 4 jdges are expected to retire. Do you want woman’s rights, gay rights, and other civil rights to be more conservative or liberal? What about crime and punishment? The death penalty?
This is the only reason i will vote for Obama. I could care less how he sings his song or what he wants me to believe. The point being, he is in a critical position and we need him to work for us for a few years.
